Shaherzad Ahmadi is an Associate Professor in the History department at the University of St. Thomas, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on modern Iranian and Iraqi histories, transnational migration, warfare, popular medicine, and childhood. She is author of the upcoming book manuscript Bordering on War: A Social History of Khuzistan, 1925-1995 (under contract with University of Texas Press). Her work has been published in leading journals such as Iranian Studies, International Journal of Middle East Studies, and Journal of Middle East Women's Studies.
