Shahang Derakhshan is a Lecturer in Biology at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), where she has taught since 2012. She holds a B.S. in Biology (2007) and an M.S. in Education in Biology (2011) from UCO. Her expertise spans plant taxonomy, medical procedures, and biological sciences education.
Research Interests: Focused on plant biology and taxonomy, with additional interests in neurology, pathology, physiology, and disease treatment. She has contributed to ecological studies through fieldwork and collaborative research.
Teaching: Courses include General Biology (BIO-1114), Human Physiology Laboratory (BIO-2604L), and University Life Sciences Lab (BIO-1211). She emphasizes transformative learning techniques through her STLR instructor role.
