Dr Seán Bracken is a Principal Lecturer and Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) at the University of Worcester. He coordinates the National Award SENCO and teaches on the PG Cert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. He also supervises doctoral and master's students across multiple disciplines.
His educational background includes a BA in History and Sociology from the National University of Ireland, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the State University of New York, an M.Phil in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College Dublin, a Master of Education in School Leadership from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Leicester.
Research interests focus on enhancing learning opportunities for non-traditional learners through curriculum design and Universal Design for Learning. Recent international collaborations in Brazil and Morocco aim to build capacity for inclusive education research.
