Seungjoo Yoon is an Associate Professor of History at Carleton College, where he has taught since 1999. He earned his MA and PhD from Harvard University. His academic focus encompasses East Asian history with courses spanning Chinese, Japanese, and Korean societal developments.
Research interests center on political-artistic intersections in imperial China, postwar social movements in Japan, modern Korean/Chinese societal transformations, and comparative East-West historical analysis.
