معرفی
Seth Lerner is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine. His clinical and research activities focus on urologic oncology with an emphasis on bladder and prostate cancers. He leads and participates in phase III clinical trials evaluating novel therapies for metastatic urothelial carcinoma and hormone-sensitive prostate cancer through collaborative groups like SWOG. His work integrates machine learning approaches for predictive modeling in oncology, particularly in chemotherapy response prediction.
Education: MD from Boston University (1981).
Research interests include immunotherapy applications for BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer, molecular markers for treatment response, and optimizing bladder-sparing therapies. He has collaborated with institutions globally on multi-institutional studies analyzing cystectomy outcomes and tumor staging impacts. His recent studies address survival outcomes in metastatic prostate cancer patients stratified by time-to-metastasis post-prostatectomy.
Key contributions include the SWOG S1937 trial evaluating eribulin/gemcitabine combinations and the S9346 trial assessing PSA response in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. His work bridges clinical practice with translational research, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to improve oncologic care.
