Sergio Chayet is an Adjunct Professor of Technology and Operations at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. He holds a full-time appointment as Teaching Professor of Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology at Washington University in St. Louis' Olin Business School since 2005, where he also directs MS Supply Chain programs. He has visiting roles at Chicago Booth and Kellogg School of Management.
Education: PhD & MS in Industrial Engineering (Northwestern University), MS in Physics (University of Chicago), BS Physics & Mathematics (UNAM, summa cum laude).
Research focuses on operations-marketing interface, stochastic modeling of production/service systems, and strategic operational design. Publications include Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Naval Research Logistics, and IIE Transactions.
Consulting spans aerospace, manufacturing, fintech, biotechnology, and other sectors. Teaches Project/Operations Management across MBA and MS programs. Extensive corporate training in supply chain and project management.
