Sergei Lepeshov serves as a Postdoc researcher at the Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), affiliated with the Photonic Nanotechnology group and NanoPhoton – Center for Nanophotonics. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to clean energy and technological innovation.
His research expertise spans multiple domains of nanophotonics as evidenced by his fingerprint profile showing 100% activity in Nanoparticle and Dielectric Material Science, 71% in Photonics Physics, 60% in Refractive Index studies, and significant contributions to Waveguide Engineering and Semiconductor Nanoparticles. This multidisciplinary approach positions him at the forefront of light-matter interaction research.
Lepeshov's recent publication record demonstrates cutting-edge work in quantum electrodynamics, nanolaser technology, and opto-thermoelectric phenomena. His research shows a clear trajectory from theoretical foundations (Mie scattering thesis) to applied quantum photonic systems, with increasing collaboration intensity as shown by multiple co-authored publications in high-impact journals.
Currently, he serves as a Supervisor for the active PhD project "Light-matter interaction in subdiffraction silicon photonic cavities" (2024-2027), having recently completed his own PhD in January 2024 with the dissertation "Theoretical Investigations of Mie Scattering and Virtual Excitations in Nanophotonics."
