Jesper Mork is a Professor and Head of Section at the Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He leads research in Quantum and Laser Photonics, focusing on nanophotonics, semiconductor nanolasers, and quantum technologies. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy and industry innovation.
His research interests include photonic crystals, quantum dots, waveguide systems, and extreme dielectric confinement in nanocavities. He has supervised numerous PhD students in projects such as cavity quantum electrodynamics, topology-optimized optical cavities, and quantum optics of nanocavities.
Mork’s recent publications emphasize advancements in all-optical switching, nanolaser design, and Fano resonance applications. His work bridges fundamental physics and applied photonics, with applications in quantum communication, low-power optoelectronics, and high-performance photonic devices.
