Serena Y Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Music Histories at Syracuse University's College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on contemporary Chinese music, musicology, and diaspora studies, with a current project examining Chinese émigré composers in the United States. She teaches courses including Global Popular Music and Sounds of the Silk Road.
