Serena Natile is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of Warwick, and serves as the Research Seminars Coordinator. Her work bridges socio-legal enquiry with feminist and decolonial methods to address issues of social reproduction, global inequality, and the governance of digital technologies. She is the author of The Exclusionary Politics of Digital Financial Inclusion: Mobile Money, Gendered Walls (2020), critiquing digital financial inclusion strategies through a gendered lens.
Her current project, supported by an ISRF Early Career Fellowship (2024–2025), explores transnational social security law in the digital age, focusing on Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, and India. Serena leads initiatives such as the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender (CSWG) and contributes to the International Journal of Law in Context as Editor-in-Chief. Her research emphasizes redistributive frameworks to counteract global maldistribution exacerbated by digitalization.
