Serena Lonardi is an Assistant Professor in Tourism Management and Marketing at the Faculty of Economics, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of Innsbruck and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Verona. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism, minority languages, socio-cultural sustainability, and inner area development, with recent emphasis on digital nomadism and netnography.
Her publications analyze how minority languages enhance destination branding while balancing authenticity and preservation concerns. Key works include studies on digital nomadism in Italian inner areas, leveraging minority languages in online marketing, and literature reviews on language-tourism intersections. She teaches courses on sports facilities management and current issues in tourism management.
