Serena Cubico

Serena Cubico is an Associate Professor of Organization and Human Resource Management at the University of Verona, Department of Management. She holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology and specializes in research areas such as entrepreneurial competences, organizational behavior in SMEs, and organizational well-being. Her work emphasizes the intersection of entrepreneurship education, youth development, and innovative management practices.

Teaching Responsibilities: She teaches courses across multiple disciplines, including 'Business Organization and HRM' for Bachelor’s degrees in Business Innovation and Economics, 'Management and Communication in SMEs' for Communication Studies, and 'Organization Studies' for Master’s programs in Computer Science and Engineering. Her instruction spans legal, ethical, and organizational aspects of professional practices in fields like physiotherapy and social services.

Research & Projects: Her research focuses on measuring entrepreneurial competences, analyzing SME dynamics, and exploring cross-cultural entrepreneurial orientations. Notable projects include the Youth Entrepreneurial Center for the Territory (2018–2020), studying entrepreneurial mindset among University of Verona students, and the 'Entrepreneurial Competences and Organizational Behavior' group analyzing business-environment relationships. She has also contributed to initiatives like Co.S.M.O., a software tool for competence valorization in organizations.

Third Mission: Involved in public engagement and continuing education, she presented at Univerò2017 and published on youth entrepreneurship, emphasizing universities as incubators for entrepreneurial potential. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in SME management and innovative organizational practices.

Affiliations: Member of the Quality Assurance Team for the Department of Business Administration, Development Cooperation Team at the University of Verona, and the Joint Committee for the Communication Science Course. She also leads the 'Career orientation services' research group examining electronic service quality and student perceptions.
