Dr. Serdar KORKMAZ is a full-time Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Kaman Vocational School, Ahi Evran University, Turkey. He has held administrative roles as Deputy Dean (2018-) and Head of Department (2015-).
- PhD in Civil Engineering (2018-2024), Kırıkkale University, Faculty of Engineering
- Master's in Construction Education (2008-2011), Gazi University, Institute of Science
- BSc in Construction Teaching Program (2002-2006), Abant İzzet Baysal University, Düzce Technical Education Faculty
Dr. KORKMAZ's research focuses on Building Materials and Geopolymer Composites, with particular emphasis on slag-based binders, perlite powder, puzolanic activity, and alkali-silica reaction mitigation. His work explores sustainable construction materials through industrial waste utilization and advanced modeling techniques.
His publications from 2008-2024 demonstrate consistent contributions to geopolymer synthesis, concrete technology, and cost estimation models, with recent studies examining molarity effects on slag-perlite geopolymers and machine learning applications for construction material properties.
- 2005-2006 Academic Year Second Place at Düzce Technical Education Faculty
Dr. KORKMAZ has collaborated with researchers from Kırıkkale University, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, and Gazi University on projects involving industrial waste valorization and geopolymer composites. He has contributed to book chapters on aggregates and geopolymer applications in construction.
