معرفی
Dr. Şevki EREN is an Assistant Professor at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, affiliated with the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Department of Construction. His academic journey includes a BSc in Construction Education from Gazi University (1997-2002), an MSc in Construction Education from Süleyman Demirel University (2003-2006), a PhD in Composite Material Technologies from Düzce University (2013-2018), and an additional BSc in Civil Engineering from Erciyes University (2013-2019). He has held full-time positions since 2009, advancing to his current role in 2018, and serves as the Department Head.
His research specializes in advanced construction materials and composites, focusing on polymer matrix systems, radiation-shielding concrete, industrial waste utilization in construction, and fiber-reinforced polymer pipes. Key investigations include optimizing material properties, mechanical performance under high temperatures, and sustainable alternatives in building technologies.
Dr. EREN mentors graduate students, including Caner Pir, whose thesis explores mechanical properties of mortars containing waste brick powder and boric acid. He leads projects such as radiation-shielding cement mortars (2022-2024) and hybrid polymer pipe development (2015-2018), collaborating extensively with researchers across Turkish universities on composite material innovations.
His publications demonstrate consistent focus on material science advancements, with recent work emphasizing polymer composites, nanomaterial integration, and sustainable construction practices. He maintains active peer review roles for multiple Turkish engineering journals.
