Semir Zeki

Semir Zeki is a Professor of Neuroesthetics at University College London (UCL), a position he has held since 2008. His academic career spans decades, including roles as Professor of Neurobiology at UCL (1981–2008) and Lecturer in Anatomy (1969–1975). He currently works within the Wellcome Department of Cognitive Neurology at UCL.

• Research Focus: His work bridges neuroscience and art, exploring the organization of the visual brain in primates and the neural mechanisms underlying artistic creativity and appreciation.
