Dr. Beverly's research explores systemic inequities in STEM education through dual lenses of faculty development and student experiences. She investigates how inclusive teaching practices affect classroom climates for underrepresented groups, particularly Latinas in engineering programs. Her work addresses the operationalization of DEI frameworks in curricula and examines the impact of anti-DEI political climates on STEM equity initiatives.
Recent publications focus on adapting inclusive pedagogy models for engineering stakeholders, analyzing classroom climate improvements for women in STEM, and developing conceptual frameworks for Latina student experiences. Her research extends to operationalizing inclusive professional frameworks for STEM faculty as change agents.
With 10 years of practitioner experience in Student Affairs, she has worked across multiple domains including K-12 STEM outreach, academic advising, and migrant education programs. Currently, her work bridges scholarly research with practical implementation of equity-focused educational strategies.
