Sehoon Kim

Dr. Sehoon Kim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University, an M.A. in Adult and Life-long Education from Korea University, and a B.A. in Education from Korea University. His professional background includes extensive experience in corporate HRD strategies, employee training, and competency development across global organizations.

Dr. Kim's research focuses on three interconnected areas: the impact of emerging technologies on workforce development, organizational approaches to enhance employee well-being, and methodologies for improving training effectiveness. His work employs diverse methodologies including quantitative analysis, phenomenology, and systematic reviews, published in leading HRD journals.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on technological adaptation in HR practices, cross-cultural workforce studies, and longitudinal analyses of employee satisfaction. Dr. Kim directs the Workforce Development and Research Lab and serves on editorial boards for multiple journals including Human Resource Development Quarterly and Human Resource Development International.
