Dr. Sefa Salih AYDEMİR is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Adiyaman University, specializing in the History of Modernization, Political History, and Turkish Press History. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Mersin University (2014), an M.A. in Social Sciences Teaching from Selçuk University (2007), and a B.A. in History Education from Selçuk University (1999).
His research examines societal transformations in modern Türkiye, including industrialization, educational reforms, and political discourse. Key works analyze Village Institutes, Türkiye's NATO accession, and higher education reforms.
As Head of the Sociology Department (2015–present), he teaches courses on Political Sociology, Social Structure of Türkiye, and Modernization. Editorial roles include serving for the International Journal of Eurasia Social Sciences.
