Dr. Seena L. Haines is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Professional Wellbeing and Belonging at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy (SOP). She previously served as Department Chair of Pharmacy Practice (2016–2022) and held roles at Palm Beach Atlantic University as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Professor. Her leadership focuses on fostering resilience, well-being, and inclusive environments through evidence-based practices.
Education: PharmD from Nova Southeastern University (2000).
Research & Expertise: Specializes in workforce well-being, organizational resilience, and positive psychology. Implements programs like the Well-Being Ambassador initiative and contributes to HRSA-funded well-being grants totaling $7,061,799. Holds certifications as a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Positive Psychology Practitioner, and Mindfulness Teacher.
Grants & Leadership: Leads grant-funded well-being initiatives at UMMC and AACP. Serves as Co-Lead for the AACP Well-Being and Resiliency Community and Representative-at-Large for the Council of Faculties.
Certifications & Roles: Certified Yoga Instructor, QPR Suicide Prevention Trainer, and PGY1/PGY2 Residency Well-Being Coordinator. Actively promotes mental health first aid and trauma resilience training.
