Sebastián Antonio Bota Ferragut

Professor Sebastián Antonio Bota Ferragut is a Full Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Construction at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Barcelona (1992) and has been a Catedrático de Universidad since 2017. His academic career spans over 35 years, with previous research experience at the University of Barcelona (1988-2002) before joining UIB in 2002.

His research expertise centers on electronic systems with specialization in integrated circuits, circuit design, and microelectronics. He is an active member of the Electronic Systems (GSE-UIB) research group, a consolidated experimental R&D group at UIB. Professor Bota Ferragut has been recognized with five teaching quinquenios and four research sexenios, prestigious academic achievements in the Spanish university system.
