Marta Isabel Marcos Moreno

Marta Isabel Marcos Moreno is a Full Professor of Earth Physics at the Department of Physics, University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), and a researcher at the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA, UIB-CSIC). She holds a Physics degree (1998) and PhD in Physics (2004) from UIB.

Her primary research focuses on physical oceanography and climate, particularly sea level variability across high-frequency scales to climate change impacts. She has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of La Rochelle (France), National Oceanography Centre (UK), and served as a visiting researcher at the University of York (UK).

She joined IMEDEA as a 'Juan de la Cierva' researcher in 2008 and 'Ramón y Cajal' researcher in 2009. She has three recognized quinquenios and sexenios of research excellence, and is part of the 'Sea Level and Climate' research group at UIB and the Marine Technologies, Operational and Coastal Oceanography group at IMEDEA.
