Sebastian Wolfrum

Sebastian Wolfrum is a Lecturer and Brewing Laboratory Manager in the Department of Bioprocessing Science at North Carolina State University. He specializes in teaching hands-on skills in brewing, distilling, and grain-based food production, with a focus on climate resilience and innovation in beverage science. His research emphasizes low/non-alcoholic beer production and Kevik yeast fermentation management.

Education: M.S. in Social Sciences from Humboldt-University Berlin, Germany.

Teaching includes courses such as Introduction to Brewing Science and Technology, Brewing Practices and Analyses, and Brewing Equipment, Controls and Operations. He serves as an NC State craft beer and distilling ambassador, engaging in extension activities.
