معرفی
Sebastian Will is an Associate Professor of Physics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University. He leads a research group focused on ultracold quantum systems and is affiliated with the Sense, Collect and Move Data center at the university.
His research interests lie at the intersection of fundamental quantum science and emerging quantum technologies. He investigates ultracold atoms and molecules to explore quantum simulation, quantum computing architectures, and quantum networking protocols. His work bridges experimental atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics with theoretical quantum information science.
Sebastian Will has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including:
- Columbia RISE Award
- NSF CAREER Award
- Sloan Fellowship
His research is supported by a broad portfolio of grants from major national agencies: NSF, AFOSR, ARO, ONR, DOE, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. He mentors students and researchers in experimental quantum physics, though specific advisees are not listed. His laboratory, the Will Lab, is accessible via https://www.will-lab.com/.
