Professor Tanya Zelevinsky is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Physics at Columbia University, where she has served since 2008. She established Columbia's first research program in modern atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, creating a significant experimental hub in Pupin Hall.

Professor Zelevinsky's research program centers on precision spectroscopy of cold molecules for fundamental physics investigations. Her group develops molecular lattice clocks, studies ultracold molecule photodissociation, and advances quantum state manipulation techniques to test the Standard Model of particle physics through tabletop-scale experiments, while also exploring applications in ultracold chemistry and quantum optics.
