Sebastian Müller

Prof. Sebastian Müller holds a professorship in Finance at the TUM School of Management, TUM Campus Heilbronn since 2019. Previously, he was a professor at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn (2016–2019). He earned his PhD from the University of Mannheim in 2011 and was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley (2012–2013). His research focuses on capital markets, investor behavior, and the digitalization of finance, employing machine learning and text analysis. He has been recognized with awards such as the SUERF/UniCredit Prize (2019) and the Spängler-IQAM Award (2018/2019). Notable contributions include work on market anomalies, ESG integration, and the impact of media on financial trends. His research infrastructure projects, like SLICES-RI and pos framework, emphasize reproducible experimentation in networked systems.
