معرفی
Prof. Sebastian Klembt is an Assistant Professor (Juniorprofessor) at the Chair for Applied Physics, University of Würzburg. His research focuses on topological photonics and light-matter interactions, particularly in creating topological insulators for exciton-polaritons and developing topological lasers. He leads the "Light-Matter Interaction and Topological Photonics" group and has pioneered work on photonic systems mimicking solid-state topological effects.
- Affiliations: Chair for Applied Physics, Cluster of Excellence ctd.qmat (Würzburg-Dresden), and Würzburg-Wroclaw Nanophotonics Center.
- Education: PhD (summa cum laude, 2013, University of Bremen), postdoc at Institut Néel (Grenoble, 2013–2015), Marie Curie Fellowship (2016–2018).
- Teaching: Lectures on physics fundamentals and advanced seminars on topological photonics.
His research integrates quantum photonics, semiconductor materials, and topological band engineering, with applications in sensors, lasers, and quantum technologies. Key projects include organic honeycomb lattices for polariton lasing and topological defect-based devices.
