Sebastian Köhne is Professor of Public Finance at Kiel University's Department of Economics and CESifo affiliate. Previously faculty at Stockholm and Uppsala Universities, he holds a PhD in Economics from Mannheim University.

As Head of Chair, he leads a research team including Dr. Lasse J. Jessen and Julia Francesca Engel, supervises theses, and teaches public economics and microeconomics courses.
