Prof. Maximilian Todtenhaupt is a Professor of Public Finance at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and an Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Mannheim (summa cum laude) and has held academic positions at NHH and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich. He serves as Deputy Representative for Professors in the Faculty Council of LUH's Faculty of Economics and Management and is part of the Institute of Public Finance and Cluster Accounting & Taxation.

- M.Sc. in Economics, University of Mannheim (2014)
- B.Sc. in Economics, Free University of Berlin (2012)
Research Interests: Focus on empirical analysis of tax incentives' impact on economic activity, international tax competition, and the effects of taxation on innovation and corporate growth. His work addresses global fiscal policies, cross-border tax dynamics, and their implications for public debt and economic sustainability.
Teaching:
- Bachelor's courses: Financial Tax Theory (winter term lecture), National Debt Seminar (winter term)
- Master's course: Empirical Research in Taxation and Public Finance (winter term seminar)
Affiliations: CESifo Research Affiliate, Research Associate at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), and member of the Norwegian Centre for Taxation (NoCeT).
Labs/Teams: Active in LUH's Institute of Public Finance and collaborates with international research clusters focusing on taxation and public finance.
