معرفی
Dr. Sean Twiss is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Durham University. His research focuses on behavioral and evolutionary ecology, spatial behavioral ecology, and the impacts of environmental change on animal behavior. He leads a long-term study on grey seals at North Rona, integrating spatial analysis and genetics. Twiss collaborates with the Sea Mammal Research Unit at the University of St. Andrews and has secured NERC fellowships/grants.
Research Interests:
- Behavioral Ecology (mating decisions, habitat choice)
- Spatially explicit modeling in ecology
- Environmental Change Ecology
- Marine mammal behavior (grey seals, pinnipeds)
Key Contributions:
- Developed geospatial tools for analyzing animal behavior
- Published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters
- Recipient of NERC Fellowships
Supervision: Advising PhD student Jacki Sime on research related to behavioral ecology.
