Sean Perera

Dr Sean Perera is a transdisciplinary scholar and Professor at the Australian National University (ANU), serving as Academic Sub Dean for Graduate Studies and Program Convenor within the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. His work focuses on STEAM communication and cross-cultural engagement with educators and learners.

• PhD (ANU, 2010) in science communication

Research interests span science communication, transdisciplinary problem-solving, teacher professional development, and culturally responsive pedagogy. His recent publications emphasize case study methodologies for university-wide educational initiatives, cross-cultural communication barriers in science, and pre-service teacher perspectives on expert science educators. Key collaborations include cross-institutional projects addressing Indigenous community engagement and science outreach evaluation.
