Sean McKee

Sean McKee is a Research Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde, Faculty of Science. His work bridges applied mathematics and biomedical engineering, focusing on the development of computational models for medical devices such as heart valves and stents. He collaborates extensively with engineers, clinicians, and industry partners to advance the design and performance of cardiovascular implants.

His research interests lie at the intersection of mathematical modeling, fluid dynamics, and biomedical applications. Key areas include fluid-structure interaction, drug-eluting stent optimization, and synthetic heart valve development. Using advanced numerical methods, he contributes to improving the safety and efficacy of medical devices through predictive simulations.
