Monica Mary Kerr

Monica Mary Kerr is a Research Fellow in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Her work focuses on the design, development, and commercialization of novel cardiovascular implants, particularly paediatric heart valves. She combines computational fluid and structural modeling with physiological valve testing platforms.

Her research spans cardiac device technologies, including TAVI systems, patient-specific anatomical modeling, and regulatory frameworks for smart medical implants. She has expertise in CAD software (Creo Parametric, Rhino 3D), CAE tools (ANSYS), and image segmentation platforms. Recent projects involve the Vivitro SuperPump pulsatile pump and vascularized bone graft development.
