Dr. Sean Lessard is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta, specializing in Secondary Education with a focus on Indigenous Education. He is Woodland Cree from Montreal Lake Cree Nation and has extensive experience as a teacher, youth worker, and counselor. His research emphasizes Indigenous youth empowerment, narrative inquiry, and relational ethics in education. Dr. Lessard holds a B.Ed. (2000), M.Ed. (2010), and Ph.D. (2013) from the University of Alberta, along with credentials in rehabilitation services and Indigenous teacher education.
