Sean Britt

Sean Britt is a Lecturer in Jazz Guitar at the University of the Pacific, affiliated with the Brubeck Institute. He joined the institution in 2013 as the first guitarist for the Brubeck Institute Fellowship program and was a member of the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors (formerly Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet), which was named the best undergraduate jazz combo by Downbeat Magazine in 2016. His work includes performances with renowned artists such as Christian McBride, Stefon Harris, and the Brubeck family.

Britt holds a BFA in Jazz Studies from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music (New York City) and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.

His research and artistic interests span jazz performance, music education, and composition. Britt's contributions to the field are highlighted through his pedagogical work and collaborations with visiting artists.
