Patrick Langham is a Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at the Conservatory of Music, University of the Pacific. He joined in 2003 as Associate Professor and has since led the Pacific Jazz Ensemble, jazz combos, and the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors program. He teaches courses in improvisation, jazz history, and theory, and oversees programs like the Summer Jazz Colony and Pacific Music Camp.

Research & Teaching: Langham’s work focuses on jazz performance, pedagogy, and historical contexts. He has developed curricula in jazz history, theory, and improvisation and directed jazz festivals and educational camps. His saxophone performances have featured collaborations with prominent jazz artists across the U.S.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Pacific Jazz Ensemble and oversees the Summer Jazz Colony, fostering student engagement in jazz performance and education.
