Dr. Sean Allen is an Associate Professor researching structural drivers of public health among marginalized populations, particularly people who inject drugs. His work addresses rural health disparities, harm reduction initiatives, and policy interventions for infectious disease prevention. Previously served as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Education: DrPH (George Washington University), MPH/BS (University of Kentucky)
Research Areas: Implementation of syringe service programs; fentanyl test strip use; PrEP adoption barriers; HIV prevention in rural Appalachia; geospatial analysis of substance use.
