Dr. Scott Yam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen's University, Canada. He holds a B.Eng. from the University of Waterloo (1998) and M.Sc./Ph.D. from Stanford University (2000/2004). His research focuses on fiber and opto-electronic devices, with applications in optical communications, sensing, and detection. Key areas include multimode fiber systems, fiber-based sensors, and high-speed signal processing.
