معرفی
Scott Tremaine is a Professor at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) within the University of Toronto. His research focuses on astrophysical dynamics, structure and dynamics of galaxies and stellar systems, supermassive black holes, extrasolar planets, solar system dynamics, planet formation, and comets. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University, awarded in 1975. His work encompasses fundamental questions in theoretical astrophysics, including the evolution of galactic structures, the role of supermassive black holes in galaxy formation, and the dynamics of planetary systems.
- Education: Ph.D. in Astrophysical Sciences, Princeton University, 1975.
Dr. Tremaine's research interests span multiple subfields within astrophysics, with a particular emphasis on understanding the large-scale structures of the universe and the dynamics of celestial bodies. His contributions have advanced our knowledge of galactic evolution, exoplanet dynamics, and the interplay between stellar systems and their environments.
