Scott David Miller is a Professor of Music and Director of Voice Studies at Whitworth University, Spokane. He holds a DMA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has been at Whitworth since 2007. His expertise spans vocal performance, foreign-language diction, vocal pedagogy, and opera workshop instruction.

Dr. Miller specializes in contemporary works, having premiered compositions like Mark Adamo's Garland and Christopher Stanichar's The Raven. He frequently collaborates with orchestras and ensembles including the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and Opera Omaha. His performances include roles in Carlisle Floyd's Cold Sassy Tree and Libby Larsen's Eric Hermannson's Soul, praised in the Wall Street Journal.
Teaching responsibilities include private voice lessons, diction, and vocal pedagogy. He directs the Julian Patrick Vocal Intensive and serves on the National Association of Teachers of Singing board.
