Bethany Suppes, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marriage & Family Therapy at Whitworth University since 2019. She holds a Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy (Texas Wesleyan University, 2019) and dual M.MFT/B.A. degrees from Abilene Christian University.
Research Focus:
- Internal Family Systems Therapy applications for trauma survivors
- Self-compassion in therapeutic contexts
- Tattoos and identity development

- Contributed to the 2018 book Marriage and Family Therapy: A Practice-Oriented Approach with a chapter on therapist self-care
- Presented at Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy conferences (2014-2018) on topics like addiction treatment, therapeutic ethics, and Disney-Pixar's Inside Out applications
