Scott LaBarge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, with specialties in Socratic studies, Hellenistic epistemology, and Aristotelian practical philosophy. He co-founded Café Socrates (2001), an enduring undergraduate philosophy discussion group, and pioneered virtual reality integration in philosophy education through collaborations with Erick Ramirez. LaBarge teaches courses on Stoicism, ancient concepts of love, and political philosophy, and was recognized with SCU's highest teaching honor, the Brutocao Award (2012).
Education: Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona (2000).
