Professor Michael Scott serves as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Warwick while maintaining his position as Professor of Classics and Ancient History. Appointed to the University Executive Board in September 2023, he continues to be research active alongside his executive responsibilities, bridging academic scholarship with institutional leadership.

He has pioneered the use of 3D laser scanning and virtual reality technology to explore ancient sites, as demonstrated in his BBC documentaries 'Ancient Invisible Cities' and 'Rome's Invisible City,' bringing innovative perspectives to archaeological interpretation.
