Scott L. Rogers is a Lecturer in Law and Director of the Mindfulness in Law Program at the University of Miami School of Law. He also serves as Director of Programs and Training for UMindfulness. His work focuses on integrating mindfulness practices into legal education and high-stress professions to enhance cognitive resilience, attention regulation, and well-being.
Rogers has developed and evaluated mindfulness-based programs for medical students, military personnel, firefighters, and legal professionals. Key initiatives include the Mindfulness-Based Attention Training (MBAT) framework, contextualized for diverse cohorts such as healthcare trainees and operational units. His research emphasizes practical applications of mindfulness to improve professional performance while addressing psychological health challenges.
Publications highlight MBAT’s efficacy in reducing mind wandering, boosting working memory, and enhancing emotional regulation across settings. He co-authored Mindful Law Student: A Mindfulness in Law Practice Guide, offering tools for legal professionals.
