Scott Kay is Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Manchester's Astronomy and Astrophysics Theory Group. His research specializes in computational cosmology, using massively-parallel simulations to study galaxy cluster formation, hydrodynamic methods, and baryonic physics effects on cosmological structures.
As a core member of the Virgo Consortium, he contributes to landmark simulations including EAGLE and Millennium. Current projects examine intracluster medium thermodynamics and dark matter halo properties using multi-wavelength cluster observations.
