Scott Gilmore serves as Prime Minister Mark Carney's Senior Advisor on Foreign, Defence, and Security Policy and holds dual Senior Fellow positions at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and the Ashoka Foundation. He concurrently serves as President of Anchor Chain, which specializes in transforming high-impact projects, and remains active as founder of Building Markets, a social enterprise connecting local entrepreneurs in developing economies to global markets to reduce poverty.
His academic foundation includes a Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and International History studies at the London School of Economics.
