Schalyn Sohn

Schalyn Sohn is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of the Integrated Master of Accounting Program at the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University. She advises the Accounting Society and MPSA Student Organizations. Previously, she taught at George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, and Strayer University, specializing in Financial, Managerial, Intermediate, and Advanced Accounting courses.

Her professional experience includes roles at Deloitte & Touche LLP (Assurance & Advisory Services), General Dynamics (Senior Accountant), and E-Trade Financial (Manager of Regulatory Reporting). She is a Certified Public Accountant (Virginia) and holds a patent for a parenting product (2014).

Awards include the Academic Excellence Award and Federation of Schools of Accounting Student Achievement Award from Notre Dame, and the Dorothy M. Kelley Memorial Scholarship from Penn State.
