Saundra Penn is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Wake Forest University's Department of Counseling since 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2010) and has been actively involved in clinical counseling and play therapy since 2000.

Saundra's selected scientific accolades include the Queens University of Charlotte's Grier Teaching Award (2019). Her clinical service includes leadership roles in professional organizations like the South Carolina Association for Play Therapy (Past-President 2019-2021) and interprofessional education initiatives.
