Satyam Nayak

Satyam Nayak, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. He joined the faculty in 2016 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His educational background includes a bachelor's degree in neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Public Health in policy management and community health (with a global health concentration) from the UT Health Science Center School of Public Health, and a medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Nayak's professional focus includes hospital medicine and medical education, informed by his public health training and global health interests. His career highlights leadership in residency programs and a commitment to community-oriented healthcare practices. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling and exploring global cuisines.
