Saswati Chaudhuri is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä's Faculty of Education and Psychology. Her work focuses on applying eye-tracking technology to study teaching and learning behaviors in real-world and laboratory settings, particularly in early childhood education and primary classrooms. She investigates how teachers' visual focus of attention relates to student outcomes, classroom dynamics, and stress factors.
Key research areas include teacher-student relationships, stress management in educational environments, and the integration of eye-tracking with other measures to analyze pedagogical practices. Chaudhuri contributes to projects like the EDUCA Flagship, which addresses future education challenges, and the LearnDigi initiative exploring digitalization in learning.
Her recent studies examine ECEC teachers' visual gaze patterns, the moderating role of teacher-student relationships on attention, and the impact of psychological stress on teaching practices. She collaborates with research groups such as TESSI (Teacher and Student Stress and Interaction in Classroom) and FinETS (Finland's Eye-Tracking Researchers' Seminar).
Chaudhuri's publications span peer-reviewed journals like Frontiers in Education and Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research, focusing on methodological innovations and educational psychology insights derived from eye-tracking data.
