Saskia Warren is a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Manchester, Department of Geography. Her research focuses on social and spatial inequalities, particularly through the lens of creative urban economies, Muslim identities, and museum curating. She has held significant fellowships, including the AHRC Leadership Fellowship (2017–2021) for her work on Muslim women in the UK's cultural and creative economy, resulting in the exhibition Beyond Faith: Muslim Women Artists Today and a monograph published by Edinburgh University Press.
Warren's education includes a PhD in Cultural Geography (University of Sheffield/Audiences Yorkshire), an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies (University of Leeds), and a BA in English Literature (University of Oxford). Her teaching roles include course leadership for modules such as Migration, Conflict and Social Change and Creative Geographies, for which she received a nomination for the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award (2020/2021).
